In contrast to NABU, which is a law-enforcement institution, NACP has a preventive function. As such, the Agency develops regulations that help prevent corruption and ensures compliance with them. Candidates seeking election in the 2019 Ukrainian presidential election are required submit a declaration of income for the year preceding the year of the beginning of the election.[2] This document will be scrutinized by the National Agency for Prevention of Corruption who will subsequently publish the results of the audit.[2] See also
