CareerBorn in Sarajevo, capital of SR Bosnia and Herzegovina, back then within Yugoslavia, Lekanić has played in Serbia ever since the beginning. Starting at the youth team of FK Partizan, he later played with Sinđelić Beograd in Serbian League Belgrade, with Dorćol at same level, Zemun in Serbian First League, then OFK Mladenovac at Serbian League Belgrade, Sloga Kraljevo at Serbian First League, then second half season of 2013–14 Serbian SuperLiga with Sloboda Užice although he didn't made a debut, then with Smederevo in Serbian League West, until summer 2015 when he joined Mačva Šabac.[1] His move to Mačva was decisive because he was part of a generation that made the club climb two levels in just two seasons,[2] and also making him debut in the 2017–18 Serbian SuperLiga.[3] However, after initial stat of the season, Lekanić still in early stage moved to Sinđelić Beograd playing in the 2017–18 Serbian First League.[3] Honours
