Raja Nem Shahji Mukne (Hindi; राजा नैम साह जी मुकणे) or Dulbar Raoji Mukne (also spelled Nim Shah Mukne) was second ruler of Jawhar State. He was elder son of Jayabha Mukne who founded Jawhar State (Jowar State) and Mukne Dynasty in the middle of Fourteenth Century.

History

Nem Shahji Mukne was elder son of Nayak Jayabha Mukne. After death of his father Jayabha, He was established at throne on 5th June 1343. He expanded his patrimony and conquered a large territory controlling twenty two forts mostly of Nashik district and Thane district of Maharashtra and increased the annual revenue at £90,000 (9,00,000 Rupees). During his time, Jawhar State was only large state in Konkan so Nem Shahji Mukne was recognised as a ruler of Jawhar and respected with the title of Shah and receiving of new name Nem Shah (Nim Shah) by Sultan Muhammad bin Tughluq of Delhi Sultanate. This event was marked by creation of new calendar era used within the state over six hundred years. After his death, He was succeeded by his only Bhim Shahji Mukne (Prince Bhim Raoji Mukne).[1][2][3][4][5][6][7]
