The film will star Ajith Kumar, Vidya Balan, Shraddha Srinath, Abhirami Venkatachalam and Andrea Tariang (reprising her role from the original film), in lead roles.[3] Rangaraj Pandey and Adhik Ravichandran will act in pivotal roles.[4] Nirav Shah is the cinematographer.[5] Yuvan Shankar Raja will be composing the film score and soundtrack.[6] Cast{{colbegin}}
ProductionThe film was officially launched on 14 December 2018 with a formal pooja in Chennai. Actress Vidya Balan is making her Tamil debut with this film and will be paired with Ajith for this film.[7] This film is a remake of Amitabh Bachchan's Pink. The film producers said the shooting starts from February 2019 and will hit the theatre screens 1 May 2019.[8] Nazriya Nazim and Kalyani Priyadarshan were approached to play the role of one of the girls but in January 2019 Kannada actress Shraddha Srinath was finalised to play the role, that Taapsee Pannu played in the original version. The film will also have new-comer, Abirami Venkatachalam. Andrea Tariang, who was also a part of the original film, will reprise her role.The team is currently shooting in Hyderabad.
