The design is out of production.[1][2][3] The boat was built by New Zealand Yachts in Whangarei, New Zealand. A total of five were constructed.[1] DesignThe New Zealand 45 is a recreational keelboat, built predominantly of fiberglass. It has a masthead sloop rig, an internally-mounted spade-type rudder and a fixed fin keel. It displaces {{convert|22000|lb|kg|0|abbr=on}} and carries {{convert|10515|lb|kg|0|abbr=on}} of ballast. The boat has a draft of {{convert|8.00|ft|m|abbr=on}}.[1][2] The boat is fitted with a Pathfinder diesel engine of {{convert|50|hp|kW|0|abbr=on}}.
