It was then rediscovered by John Herschel on April 29, 1832 and was listed as NGC 4057.[4] NGC 4065 is the brightest[14][15][16][5] member of the NGC 4065 Group.[6][7][8][15][9][10][11][12][13][14] NGC 4065 is a companion of NGC 4061.[8][29] The two galaxies form an interacting[15][16] pair, as evidenced by distortions in their optical isophotes.[16][9] It is classified as a radio galaxy.[9][16] See also
