He is the John L. and Helen Kellogg Professor of Managerial Economics & Decision Sciences at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, where he directs the Center for Mathematical Studies in Economics & Management.[1] Education and careerPersico received his laurea from Bocconi University in 1991 and his Ph.D. from Northwestern University in 1996, both in economics. He then served as an assistant professor at the University of California, Los Angeles for one year before leaving for the University of Pennsylvania. In 2006, he left his position as an associate professor of economics at the University of Pennsylvania to become a full professor of economics at New York University. In 2011, he joined the Kellogg School of Management, where he was named the John L. and Helen Kellogg Professor in 2014; he will retain this title until 2019.[2] Research interestsPersico's research covers multiple disciplines within economics, including political economy and labor economics.[1] This includes multiple studies he has co-authored which found a positive relationship between someone's height as a teenager and their income later in life.[3][4][5] He and his colleagues have also shown that it is better to do one task at a time (sequentially) than to do multiple tasks simultaneously.[6] References1. ^1 {{Cite web |url=http://www.kellogg.northwestern.edu/faculty/directory/persico_nicola.aspx |title=Nicola Persico |website=Faculty directory|publisher=Kellogg School of Management}} 2. ^{{Cite web |url=http://www.nicolapersico.com/files/cv.pdf |title=Nicola Persico CV |last=Persico |first=Nicola}} 3. ^{{Cite web |url=http://www.cnn.com/2007/US/Careers/02/02/cb.tall.people/ |title=Why tall people make more money |last=Donohue |first=Meg |website=CNN |publication-date=2 February 2007}} 4. ^{{Cite web |url=http://www.economist.com/node/1099333 |title=Walk tall |website=The Economist |publication-date=25 April 2002}} 5. ^{{Cite web |url=https://www.nytimes.com/2006/11/28/health/28height.html |title=Success is Relative, and Height Isn't Everything |last=Hall |first=Stephen S. |website=The New York Times |publication-date=28 November 2006}} 6. ^{{Cite web |url=https://hbr.org/2015/01/the-pros-and-cons-of-doing-one-thing-at-a-time |title=The Pros and Cons of Doing One Thing at a Time |last=O'Connell |first=Andrew |website=Harvard Business Review |publication-date=20 January 2015}} External links
