He is the son of Vikrambhai Tripathi and Neelamben Tripathi and has one sibling. He studied accounting. One of the first businesses he established was a cleaning company.[6] Football and PhilanthropyBoth he and his Diya Group announced a multi-million dollar partnership with George Weah whereby global football academies would be established to help assist youth in both impoverished and emerging nations.[7] The motivation for the academies is cited as a shared experience between both Tripathi and George Weah in how sport can transform lives in their nations of both India and Liberia, which both still suffer from severe poverty.[7] Tripathi is a founding board member of Football for Peace in India [8].
