He is a member of the Christian Democratic Union, part of the European People's Party.[1] From 2004 to 2009, he worked as a parliamentary assistant to Andreas Schwab at the European Parliament in Brussels. Political careerLins has been a Member of the European Parliament since the 2014 European elections. He first served on the Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety. Since 2017, he has been a member of the Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development and the Special Committee on the Union’s authorisation procedure for pesticides. In addition to his committee assigments, Lins is a member of the Parliament's delegation for relations with Switzerland and Norway and to the EU-Iceland Joint Parliamentary Committee and the European Economic Area (EEA) Joint Parliamentary Committee.
