Founded by Nuno Centeno, the gallery has established an international program of contemporary art. Galeria Nuno Centeno, originally begun as Reflexus Arte Contemporânea, opened in March 2007 in Porto.[2] Alongside the Serralves Museum and the artist-run A Certain Lack of Coherence the gallery has played a role in showcasing contemporary art in Porto, and in 2009 the gallery expanded, moving to larger premises.{{fact|date=May 2018}} The name changed to Galeria Nuno Centeno in January 2011 and started to represent a group of emerging and established international artists.
