词条 Ochre Dyke
释义

  1. References

The Ochre Dyke is a small stream in the south eastern part of the City of Sheffield in South Yorkshire, England. It rises near the Mosborough Moor in what was originally Birley Wood, but is now a housing estate. The river then flows through Hackenthorpe, past the Crystal Peaks shopping centre before heading into Beighton. The river then flows into the River Rother.[1]

The river has been used for a number of activities over the years including fishing and for powering Sickle grinding wheels much like the nearby Shire Brook.[2] The Cliff Wheel was located along the stream and was used for grinding.[3]
