Olga Petit, (1870-1965), born Scheina Lea-Balachowsky and also referred to as Sonia Olga Balachowsky-Petit, became the first female lawyer in France on 6 December 1900.[1][2][3] She was born in Korson, which later became part of Ukraine.[1] Her law thesis was "Law and Ordinance in States where the Legislative and the Executive Powers are Not Separated".[1] Before becoming a lawyer she married one.[4]{{DEFAULTSORT:Petit, Olga}}
