She was also a silver medallist at the 2013 African Youth Championships in Warri.[6][7] She was runner-up at the 2016 NCAA Outdoor Championships in the 100 m hurdles running a windy 12.79 s. Amusan also competed at the 2016 World Junior Championships in Bydgoszcz.
