It succeeds the Olympus OM-D E-M1 in the line up, and includes 20-megapixel sensor (instead of 16 Mp), 2-axis movable LCD monitor, 50-megapixel high resolution shot capability, 4K video support (including Cinema 4K), 60 frames per second maximum sequential shooting speed (electric shutter) and HDMI output mode amongst its improvements.[1] The E-M1 Mark II did win Camera Grand Prix 2017 Camera of the Year.[2] In January 2019 Olympus announced its new flagship Olympus OM-D E-M1X, which is intended for professional use.
