The Palomino rabbit is a breed of rabbit, normally 8-12 pounds in weight, which is generally colored gold or lynx. It was first bred in Washington State, United States, by Mark Youngs, who wanted to make a ''new'' breed of rabbit. As with the palomino horse, the rabbit gets its name from its color.[1][2] CreationThe Palomino rabbit was created by Mark Youngs, in Washington State, United States. Palomino rabbit was a new breed created by Mark Youngs[4]. Mark Youngs was a resident of Washington state who had raised different rabbits for around 10 years from the year 1910[5]. One of his dream is to develop a new breed of rabbit. Fortunately, he realized his dream that developed a new breed named palomino rabbit between 1940 and 1950[5] .
