He is also a member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe where he has raised a wide number of human rights issues including the plight of Palestinians living under Israeli occupation, the struggle for Catalan Independence and the Campaign against Immigrant Detention of Children in Hungary and other European States.
