Payne Theological Seminary is a Christian seminary in Wilberforce, Ohio. Established in 1894 by the African Methodist Episcopal Church (AMEC), it is the oldest free-standing African-American seminary in the United States. The seminary is named after the founder of Wilberforce University, Daniel Alexander Payne, the first African-American college president and the sixth Senior Bishop of the AMEC.
