The two boats share the same hull design.[1] ProductionThe Electra was the second design built by Pearson Yachts. A total of 350 examples were completed before production ended.[1][4] DesignThe Electra is a recreational keelboat, built predominantly of fiberglass, with wood trim. It has a masthead sloop rig, a spooned raked stem, a raised reverse transom, a keel-mounted rudder controlled by a tiller and a fixed long keel. It displaces {{convert|3000|lb|kg|0|abbr=on}} and carries {{convert|1299|lb|kg|0|abbr=on}} of ballast.[1] The design has a draft of {{convert|3.00|ft|m|abbr=on}} with the standard long keel fitted. The boat is normally fitted with a small outboard motor for docking and maneuvering.[1] The design has a hull speed of {{convert|5.48|kn|km/h|2|abbr=on}}.[5] See also
