}} The Peltaspermales are an extinct order of plants belonging to Pteridospermatophyta, or seed ferns. It is unclear whether they form a natural group of organisms as they are poorly known.[1] It has been suggested that they survived the Cretaceous–Paleogene extinction event.[2] References1. ^{{cite book|author1=Taylor, Edith L. |author2=Taylor, Thomas N. |author3=Krings, Michael |title=Paleobotany: The Biology and Evolution of Fossil Plants|publisher=Academic Press|date=2009|pages=639–48|isbn=9780080557830|url=https://books.google.com.au/books?id=_29tNNeQKeMC&q=Protolepidodendrales#v=snippet&q=Peltaspermales&f=false}} {{Taxonbar|from=Q1536417}}{{paleobotany-stub}}{{plant-stub}}2. ^McLoughlin S.; Carpenter R.J.; Jordan G.J.; Hill R.S.
