Description
Pentachlaena orientalis grows as a tree up to {{convert|30|m|-1}} tall with a trunk diameter of up to {{convert|90|cm|0|abbr=on}}. Its leaves are elliptic and measure up to {{convert|18|cm|0|abbr=on}} long.[2]Distribution and habitat
Pentachlaena orientalis is known from the eastern regions of Alaotra-Mangoro, Analanjirofo and Atsinanana. Its habitat is humid forest from sea level to about {{convert|2000|m|-2|abbr=on}} altitude. Some subpopulations of the species occur in protected areas.References
