Peteon ({{lang-grc|Πέτεων}}) was a town of ancient Boeotia,[1] mentioned by Homer in the Catalogue of Ships in the Iliad.[2] It was situated near the road from Thebes to Anthedon.[3] Strabo contradicts himself in one passage placing Peteon in the Thebais, and in another in the Haliartia.[3][4]Its site is located near modern Platanaki.[5][6] References1. ^{{Cite Stephanus|s.v.}}
