Peter Alan Cowgill (born 18 March 1953) is a British businessman, and has been the executive chairman of JD Sports since March 2004.^[1]

He was educated at De La Salle Grammar School, Manchester and graduated from the University of Hull with a bachelor's degree.^[2] He is the non-executive chairman of Quiz, United Carpets and Better Bathrooms (UK).{{fact|date=October 2017}}
