The Peterloo Memorial is a planned memorial to the Peterloo massacre. Designs for the memorial by the artist Jeremy Deller were unveiled in November 2018. It is expected to be completed in 2019 and sited close to the site of the massacre. The Peterloo Memorial Campaign Group has been lobbying for a fitting memorial to The Peterloo Massacre for over ten years. Now, having agreed terms of reference with both Manchester City Council and the artist Jeremy Deller, they are working closely together to ensure the delivery of a monument which is Respectful Informative and Prominent (R.I.P) Their website is www.Peterloomasscre.org.
