It was described by Meyrick in 1934. It is found in Indonesia (Java).[1] The wingspan is 14–18 mm. The forewings are white, more or less irregularly suffused pinkish-grey and speckled grey except towards the costa anteriorly, the costal edge blackish on the basal fourth, and with an appressed fringe of white scales beneath the costa anteriorly. There is a small dark grey spot on the middle of the costa, and blackish dot in the disc beneath this. A black dot is found in the disc about three-fourths, and some variable scattered raised black scales are placed posteriorly. The hindwings are grey, darker towards the apex. The larvae bore in the shoots of Planchonia valida.[2] References1. ^funet.fi {{Taxonbar|from=Q13642051}}{{Gelechiidae-stub}}2. ^Exotic Microlep. 4 (15): 466 2 : Moths described in 1934|Physoptilinae |
