For many years, the AL-210 designation appeared on state road maps but was not actually signed as such. This has changed in recent years and today the AL-210 designation is noted on signs along with the US Routes that share its circumference of Dothan. Route descriptionSR-210 is highly developed and heavily used both by those who live and work in Dothan and by motorists bound for beach destinations in Florida who use it as a bypass of the city. It is a divided four-lane highway and carries a speed limit of {{convert|50|mi/h|km/h|abbr=on}} for its entire circumference. As with all other state highways in Alabama, mile markers are posted along the route. Numbering begins and ends at the intersection with US-231/South Oates Street on the south side of the city. The road was constructed in the late 1950s and was made possible by former Alabama governor "Big Jim" Folsom who authorized the state expenditures. He directed that the road be named for Ross Clark, Folsom's brother-in-law, who had committed suicide in 1955.[2] Major intersections{{jcttop|length_ref=[1]|state=AL|county=Houston|location=Dothan}}{{ALint|mile=0.0 |type=concur |road={{jct|state=AL|US|231|US-Bus|231|dab2=Dothan|dir2=north|US-Bus|431|dab3=Dothan|dir3=north|name3=South Oates Street|SR|1|US|431|dir5=north}} |notes=Zero milepost; Begin concurrency with US-231; End concurrency with US-431; Southern terminus of US-431 }}{{ALint |mile=1.793 |road={{jct|state=AL|SR|52}} |notes= }}{{ALint |type=concur |mile=3.370 |road={{jct|state=AL|US|84|SR|12|US-Bus|84|dab3=Dothan|dir3=east|name3=West Main Street}} |notes=Begin concurrency with US-84 }}{{ALint |mile=4.904 |type=concur |road={{jct|state=AL|US|231|US-Bus|231|dab2=Dothan|dir2=south|name2=Montgomery Highway|SR|53}} |notes=End concurrency with US-231 }}{{ALint |mile=7.062 |type=concur |road={{jct|state=AL|US|431|US-Bus|431|dab2=Dothan|dir2=south|SR|1|name3=Reeves Street}} |notes=Begin concurrency with US-431 }}{{ALint |mile=9.967 |road={{jct|state=AL|SR|52}} |notes= }}{{ALint |type=concur |mile=10.442 |road={{jct|state=AL|US|84|US-Bus|84|dab2=Dothan|dir2=west|SR|12|name3=East Main Street}} |notes=End concurrency with US-84 }}{{ALint |mile=12.173 |road={{jct|state=AL|SR|53}} |notes= }}{{jctbtm|keys=concur|col=4}} References{{Attached KML|display=title,inline}}1. ^1 {{cite map |url=http://www.dot.state.al.us/NR/rdonlyres/7B15B300-359D-413A-A7FA-ED33C8C261CD/0/CountyMilePostMaps.pdf |publisher=Alabama Department of Transportation |title=Milepost Map of Houston County |date=1999 |cartography=ALDOT Bureau of Transportation Planning, Survey & Mapping Division |deadurl=yes |archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20100325140604/http://www.dot.state.al.us/NR/rdonlyres/7B15B300-359D-413A-A7FA-ED33C8C261CD/0/CountyMilePostMaps.pdf |archivedate=2010-03-25 }} 2. ^{{Cite web|url=https://www.dothaneagle.com/townnews/politics/answer-man-who-was-ross-clark/article_4268f1a0-44f7-11e4-a2cf-001a4bcf6878.html|title=Answer Man: Who was Ross Clark?|website=Dothan Eagle|language=en|access-date=2019-01-28}} 5 : State highways in Alabama|Bypasses in Alabama|Transportation in Houston County, Alabama|Beltways in the United States|Dothan, Alabama |
