释义 |
The only known ancient bishop of this diocese was the Catholic bishop Surgentius,[5][6] who attended the Council of Carthage (314). The bishopric is presumed to have been active throughout the Roman era, Vandal Kingdom and Byzantine Empire, but ceasing to function effectively with the Muslim conquest of the Maghreb. The current titular bishop is Charles James McDonnell.[7][8] References1. ^Henri Irénée Marrou, André Mandouze, Anne-Marie La Bonnardière, Prosopographie de l'Afrique chrétienne (303–533) (Éditions du Centre national de la recherche scientifique, 1 Jan. 1982) p1243. {{coord missing|Tunisia}}2. ^Jean Louis Maier, The Episcopate of Roman, Vandal and Byzantine Africa (Swiss Institute of Rome 1973) p186. 3. ^Pocofeltus at catholic-hierarchy.org. 4. ^Martin Wolters,The apostolic succession. 5. ^Jean Louis Maier, The Episcopate of Roman, Vandal and Byzantine Africa (Swiss Institute of Rome 1973) p186. 6. ^Henri Irénée Marrou, André Mandouze, Anne-Marie La Bonnardière, Prosopographie de l'Afrique chrétienne (303–533) (Éditions du Centre national de la recherche scientifique, 1 Jan. 1982) p1243. 7. ^Titular Episcopal See of Pocofeltus at GCatholic.org. 8. ^[https://translate.googleusercontent.com/translate_c?depth=1&hl=en&prev=search&rurl=translate.google.com.au&sl=de&u=http://www.catholic-hierarchy.org/diocese/d2p95.html&usg=ALkJrhhXr5S9MpcMjKlGP3VqGXSsP3b6Aw Pocofeltus] at www.catholic-hierarchy.org . 3 : Archaeological sites in Tunisia|Roman towns and cities in Tunisia|Catholic titular sees in Africa |
