Justice Prashant Mishra (born on 29 August 1964) is the current Acting Chief justice of Chhattisgarh High Court since 23^th March 2019. He preceded Justice Ajay Kumar Tripathi after the appointment of Justice A K Tripathi as Member of Lokpal.

Career

Born on 29th August 1964 at Raigarh, Chhattisgarh. Mishra enrolled as an Advocate on September 4 1987. He practised in Law District Court at Raigarh, Madhya Pradesh High Court at Jabalpur and Chhattisgarh High Court at Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh. He dealt with Civil, Criminal and Writ branches of law. He was designated as senior Advocate by Chhattisgarh High Court in January 2005. He also served as the Advocate general for the state from September 1, 2007 till his elevation as Judge of Chhattisgarh High Court on December 10, 2009. He became the Acting Chief justice of Chhattisgarh High Court on March 23, 2019 after the appointment of Justice Ajay Kumar Tripathi as Member of Lokpal.
