| length = | label = | producer = Ulrich Wild | prev_title = Cult of Static | prev_year = 2009 | misc = }}Project Regeneration is the upcoming seventh studio album by American industrial metal band Static-X, set to be released in the second quarter of 2019.[1] It will be the band's their first studio album in ten years following Cult of Static (2009), marking the longest gap between two studio albums in the band's career, and feature the last recordings of deceased frontman Wayne Static, who died in 2014.[1] Project Regeneration will also see the return of the original Static-X lineup – bassist Tony Campos, guitarist Koichi Fukuda and drummer Ken Jay – and is being produced by Ulrich Wild, who has produced albums by the band in the past.[2] Background and developmentOn October 23, 2018, bassist Tony Campos, guitarist Koichi Fukuda and drummer Ken Jay announced that they were reforming to tour for the 20th anniversary of Wisconsin Death Trip and would release Project Regeneration, featuring compositions and vocals recorded before Wayne Static's death in 2014.[2] The band have recruited guest vocalists to contribute to Static's compositions, but have stated "it is still too early to count anyone in 100%".[3] Vocalists the band have reached out to include David Draiman of Disturbed, Dez Fafara of Coal Chamber and DevilDriver, Edsel Dope of Dope, Burton C. Bell of Fear Factory, Ivan L. Moody of Five Finger Death Punch, and Al Jourgensen of Ministry.[2] Loudwire has called Project Regeneration a "tribute album to Wayne Static".[4] PromotionAlong with the announcement, the band shared a trailer for the album featuring clips from an upcoming music video and snippets of five previously unreleased songs.[2] The band have made several bundles of the album available for pre-order, with fans who pre-order the album set to have their name featured in the liner notes.[2] Matt Zane will direct several music videos for songs from the album.[1] Confirmed tracks
