He was born in Naples and studied law. In 1962 he started his own production company, P.E.A. (Produzioni Europee Associati) to produce international co-productions[1] and released his first feature film, L'Ombra di Zorro/Shades of Zorro the following year. His next production was his first spaghetti western I due violenti/Texas Ranger (1964). His producing credits include For a Few Dollars More in 1965, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly in 1966 both with Sergio Leone who initially sought his legal experience advice,[2] Last Tango in Paris in 1972, and Gangs of New York in 2002.
