Pyinsarupa ({{lang-my|ပဉ္စရူပ}}, {{IPA-my|pjɪ̀ɴsa̰ jùpa̰|}}, also spelt pyinsa rupa; {{lang-pi|pañcarūpa}}, lit. "five forms"[1]), also known as phaya luang ({{lang-th|พญาลวง}}), is a chimeric animal made of an elephant, bullock, horse, carp and tonaya (a mythical horned animal), or alternately lion, elephant, buffalo, carp and hamsa.[2] The pyinsarupa is commonly featured in traditional Burmese hsaing waing orchestras, and serves as the logo of Myanmar's flagship air carrier, Myanmar Airways International.
