The club has its home base in the Laoshan district of the city. Former notable players include David Löfquist,[2] Kwame Quansah, Milan Perić and Qiu ZhongHui. Qingdao Red Lions was established in early 2016. The club aims to contribute to the development of Chinese football, both on youth level as in competitive league football. Within its first three years of existence, it has successfully been promoted to China League Two. Club name and name sponsorAt a sponsor event organized by the football club in the summer of 2017 the club established a name sponsor partnership with Sino-German agricultural company Fortschritt Agritech, based in Qingdao. During the 2017 and 2018 football season the club will be playing their games in the Qingdao Super League and the China Champions League finals as Qingdao Fortschritt Red Lions. Fortschritt has a rich history in the agricultural industry as well as in football, particularly in the former German Democratic Republic. Club badge and coloursThe club badge consists of a shield containing a lion's head—a symbol for strength—and Wuyue Feng (May Wind), the iconic monument on Qingdao's May Fourth Square. The 2018 home and away kit for Qingdao Fortschritt Red Lions are designed and manufactured by Guangzhou-based sports clothing company UCANSport. {{clear}}Stadium and training groundTraining takes places at the football park in Laoshan and at the Laixi Sports Center. During the 2019 China League Two Qingdao Fortschritt Red Lions will play its home games in the Zhonglian Sports Center in the northern Jimo district of Qingdao and Laixi Sports Center in Laixi. During the 2017 Qingdao Super League the club played its home games at the newly developed football pitch within the Fushan Mountain Ecologicial Park. In the 2016 football season Qingdao Fortschritt Red Lions had their training base in the Jihongtan subdistrict of Chengyang, a district of Qingdao. The club played their home games in a nearby stadium with 10.000 seat capacity, located on the premises of the local Sanli factory. Results
