释义 |
At a time when the Papacy insisted on using Latin as the liturgical language, Radogost was noted for not knowing Latin at all, nor any other language. Thus, Radogost "swore the oath of faith and obedience to his metropolitan in ... the Slavic language".[1] He justified his celebration of mass in Church Slavonic to his metropolitan, claiming that this was a privilege granted to his predecessors by a pope named John in 880.[3] Bishop Radogost likely died in 1203; on 10 June, the papal legate John de Casamaris reported the death of the Bishop of Bosnia to Pope Innocent III. It is unknown whether he died before or after the Abjuration of Bilino Polje, whereby Kulin and his closest associates agreed on the future management of the Catholic Church in Bosnia. If he died after 8 April, when the abjuration took place, he was curiously absent from the meeting.[4] References1. ^1 {{cite book | last=Fine | first=John Van Antwerp, Jr. |author-link=John Van Antwerp Fine, Jr. | title=The Late Medieval Balkans: A Critical Survey from the Late Twelfth Century to the Ottoman Conquest | publisher=University of Michigan Press | location=Michigan | year=1994 | isbn=0-472-08260-4 |page=18|ref=harv}} {{S-start}}{{S-rel|ca}}{{S-bef|before=Milovan}}{{S-ttl|title=Bishop of Bosnia|years=1189-1203}}{{S-aft|after=Dragonja}}{{End}}{{Subject bar |portal1= Biography |portal2= Catholicism |portal3= Bosnia}}{{Authority control}}2. ^{{Cite book|last=Fine |first=John Van Antwerp, Jr. |title=The Bosnian Church: Its Place in State and Society from the Thirteenth to the Fifteenth Century|publisher=Saqi|year=2007|isbn=0-86356-503-4|ref=harv|page=11}} 3. ^{{cite book | editors=| title=Thessaloniki, Magna Moravia: proceedings of the International conference, Thessaloniki, 16-19 october 1997| publisher=Hellenic Association for Slavic Studies | year=1999|page=75|ref=harv}} 4. ^{{Cite book|last=Petrović|first=Leon|title=Kr'stiani cr'kve bos'nske|publisher=Svjetlo riječi|year=1999|isbn=|ref=harv|page=83|language=Serbo-Croatian}} 2 : Bishops of Bosnia|12th-century Roman Catholic bishops |
