It is recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education.[1] It is managed by an educational trust known as the Raj Kumar Goel Educational Foundation. It was closed down in 2017 because of poor management and faculty.{{cn|date=March 2019}} The campusThe RKGEC[2] Pilkhuwa is housed in a sprawling campus measuring 25 acres, amidst complete serenity and silence, conducive for imparting a meaningful and wholesome education. The eco-friendly surroundings vie with the infrastructural facilities, to make this college an institution to be reckoned with, and consequently leaving it with few peers in the vicinity. A fully dedicated and professionally qualified faculty, aided by happy to help support staff, has shaped the evolution of this college to its present form, and the process is still going on. The infrastructure includes well lit lecture halls, adequately furnished labs, seminar halls, staff rooms and large sized play grounds. All this has helped the college to attract students from 114 districts in the country ranging from Srinagar to Lohar Daga and Gautam Budhnagar to Jabalpur, spanning 11 states and 1 district from neighbouring Nepal, and from diverse socio-religio-economic backgrounds. Academic programmesRKGEC, Pilkhuwa offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in engineering and management. The college provides degree courses in Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Information Technology. Student lifeThus goes the old adage 'a sound mind in a sound body'. To achieve this, in any educational center the provision of adequate sporting facilities is mandatory.Being conscious of this need the college has provided a cricket ground, football field, cemented basketball court, volleyball court, cemented badminton courts and table tennis tables. The school endeavors to channelize the surplus energies of the youth in a constructive way and to initiate him to the elementary but important lesson that he should be 'modest in victory and generous in defeat', something which can be learned only in the sporting arena. HostelThe ancient Gurukuls were precursors of subsequent fully residential/semi-residential education apparatus in the country, and this tradition has lived down to the present time. Thus, drawing inspiration from this time tested tradition and of course blending it with the requirements of present time, the college has provided hostels, separately for boys and girls. Realizing fully that a hostel in any academic institution is the epicenter of the dynamics of campus life, the college is strictly managing the day-to-day affairs of the hostels by posting full-time in-house wardens and 24x7 security systems. To meet any health contingency there is prompt and adequate response so that the hostel residents have a feeling of living and studying in a home away from home. The watchful gaze of the wardens helps to ensure that the student does not deviate from their goals. Approved incubation centre by MSME, Govt. of IndiaUnder the scheme "Support for Entrepreneurial & Managerial Development of SMEs through incubators" of MSME (Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises,) Government of India, RKGEC has status of host institution for setting up Business Incubators for the purpose of providing support for entrepreneurial and managerial development of SME’S. The Govt. of India has found this college worthy to function as a business incubator where entrepreneurial ideas can be fostered and developed in a supportive environment before they become attractive for venture capital. Consequently, the GOI has approved the projects and functioning of three business incubatees in the college campus, and follow up action is in advanced stages of fund allocation and apportionment from the GOI.
