Professional careerRaniel started his professional career at Santa Cruz. Considered a promising player his was loaned to Cruzeiro in March, 2016. In the same year, while playing for Cruzeiro U20 he had several standout performances at Campeonato Brasileiro Sub-20. In January, 2017, Raniel permanently joined Cruzeiro for an undisclosed value. The deal also included the loan of three players from Cruzeiro to Santa Cruz for the 2017 season.
