He made his directional debut with Kammara Sambhavam in 2018 starring Dileep in the lead role. Early lifeRathish was born at Taliparamba in Kannur District of Kerala.[2] He did his schooling at Moothedath High School, Taliparamba and completed his bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Bangalore University. CareerRathish stepped into his film career with Thachiledathu Chundan in 1999, as an assistant with Shajoon Kariyal. In his early days, Rathish worked with several prominent filmmakers in Malayalam Cinema. In 2013, Rathish produced the Malayalam film, Ezhu Sundara Rathrikal which was directed by Lal Jose.[3] He worked 8 years assisting film directors before his directional debut in 2018. Kammara Sambhavam, his first film as a director was a satirical thriller written by Murali Gopy.[4] He has also directed several Television advertisements for major brands including Manorama News, Mathrubhumi Classifieds and Asianet News.
