The marriage between Ravi Neeli and Parantaka, c. 910 CE, is celebrated in the Udayendiram plates of Prthvipati II Hastimalla. Her son with Parantaka, Rajaditya Chola, was killed in the battle of Takkolam in 949 CE.[1] Ravi Neeli is also known to have lived in Rajadityapura, the headquarters of prince Rajaditya, with her female-servant Chitra Komalam.[2] She appears in the Tiruvalla copper plates with her husband "Vira Chola" Parantaka (lines 109-111) and in Tiruvotriyur inscription (936 CE, Madras) of "Madurai Konda" Parakesari (Parantaka) Chola.[1] A record of Parantaka Chola, 28th year, from Rajadityapura, (the Tirunamanallur inscription) also mentions the Chera queen of the Chola king.[3] Mother of Ravi Neeli appears in Tirunandikkara inscription (c. 883 CE) of king Sthanu Ravi "Kulasekhara" (c. 844-883 CE) and his son-in-law Goda Ravi "Vijayaraga".[1] References1. ^1 2 Narayanan, M.
