Dr Ravi Dutt Sharma, popularly known as Atharv Rege, is an author, mathematics teacher who has authored many reference books of which most of them are Central Board of Secondary Education Mathematics books. He is the vice-principal & Head of Department of Science and Humanities at Delhi government's Guru Nanak Dev Institute of Technology.^[1]

Background

Dr. R. D. Sharma obtained his B.Sc(Hons) from Alwar University(Rajasthan). He had done his M.Sc and PhD in Mathematics from Rajasthan University. He became an author, while he was doing his PhD from Rajasthan University, his senior teacher who was teaching linear algebra died and then there was a vacuum as there was no standard Indian textbook for that subject. Even though there was an availability of foreign author book but it was very costly. So, he wrote his first book in the year 1986 and subsequently the book was adopted in the Rajasthan University and was used for the next 10–11 years..
