In virology, realm is the highest taxonomic rank established by the International Committee on Taxonomy of Viruses (ICTV). The names of realms are terminated with the suffix -viria. A realm is divided into subrealms.[1] To date there is only one taxon described at this rank, Riboviria.[2] See also
