Recording Radio Film Connection & CASA Schools® (RRFC) is a private postsecondary for-profit institution owned and operated by Recording Radio Film Connection, Inc. located in Los Angeles, California. The school was founded in 1983 in Los Angeles as The Radio Connection. In July 2017, RRFC expanded operations and moved into the Online Education & Administrative Offices, located at 6300 Wilshire Blvd., Suite 640, Los Angeles, CA 90048.

RRFC is approved to operate by the State of California, Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education (BPPE) and maintains additional licenses to operate in various other states. RRFC offers a variety of entertainment and media-related areas of study. A total of eleven (11) certificate programs are approved in California.

RRFC serves a student population of approximately 1200 national and international students. These students gain their education credentials while living in their local state or country of residency.

Recording Radio Film Connection & CASA Schools® is dedicated to provide career-focused, post-secondary educational programs that are structured for online delivery with an industry focused externship to serve the school's diversified student population. Students are prepared for professional opportunities and career success in the fields of recording, radio, film and culinary arts.

RRFC offers mentor-based externship programs in audio, film, radio and the culinary arts. RRFC is also a recognized member of The National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences (NARAS), The National Association for Music Education (NAFME), and The Better Business Bureau (BBB).

History

Recording Radio Film Connection & CASA Schools® (RRFC) is a private postsecondary institution owned and operated by Recording Radio Film Connection, Inc. located in Los Angeles, California. The school was founded by James "Jimi" Petulla in 1983 in Los Angeles as The Radio Connection. In 1989, the curriculum was expanded to include the recording arts and assist students in learning how to become audio engineers.

In 2000, video production and film production educational programs were added which featured the same industry focused externship synonymous to all of the school's offerings. In 2006, new courses were added to the core recording arts program with further emphasis on music production, live sound mixing, and other audio and music industry related careers. ^[1] In 2011, the school further expanded its curriculum to include other entertainment and media-related areas of study. In 2013, CASA Schools was added to the school's programs, specializing in industry focused externship and curriculum coursework to help prepare students for professional opportunities in the culinary arts.

In 2017, Recording Radio Film Connection, Inc. filed a DBA and registered the trademark for Recording Radio Film Connection & CASA Schools®. This name was chosen to best represent the programs offered by the school.

Schools and Programs

RRFC operates the mentor and externship based programs in multiple locations throughout the United States as well as parts of Britain, Canada, and Australia. Programs are grouped in four disciplines; Recording Connection, Film Connection, Radio Connection and CASA Schools.

When students enroll in RRFC they are paired with a local active professional in their respective field who mentors them using a combination of one-on-one training, hands-on experience, and online curriculum coursework created by Recording Radio Film Connection, Inc. The online coursework and externship programs are generally completed in six to nine months. Student Services and tutoring are provided with no additional cost to the student and promotes their academic progression throughout the programs.
