Rhiannon Ash is a British classical scholar, specialising in Latin literature and Tacitus. She is Professor of Roman Historiography in the Faculty of Classics, University of Oxford, and a Fellow of Merton College, Oxford. She was formerly a lecturer at the Department of Greek and Latin at University College, London. CareerAsh completed undergraduate study at Oxford. She subsequently studied for an MA in Toronto, before obtaining a DPhil from the University of Oxford.[1] Her primary area of research interest in Latin prose literature of the Imperial Era, especially that of Tacitus. She writes variously on ancient epistles, Greek and Roman biography, battle narratives, and Pliny the Elder, among other subjects.
