It is owned and managed by Cambridgeshire County Council.[1][2] This is a linear site along a disused railway embankment, with views over the Fens. There are also three ponds, reedbeds and areas of scrub.[1] The soil is poor in nutrients, which has allowed uncommon flowering plants such as coltsfoot to become established. Trees include ash and white willow.[3] The southern end of the site can be accessed from Twenty Foot Road, and National Cycle Route 63 runs through it. There is no access to the northern end.[1] {{commonscat|Ring's End}}References1. ^1 2 {{cite web|url=http://www.lnr.naturalengland.org.uk/Special/lnr/lnr_details.asp?C=5&N=&ID=1164 |title=Ring’s End |series=Local Nature Reserves|publisher=Natural England| date = 21 February 2013 |accessdate= 20 November 2016}} {{coord| 52.595| 0.069 |type:landmark_region:GB|display=title}}{{Local Nature Reserves in Cambridgeshire}}2. ^{{cite web|url= http://magic.defra.gov.uk/MagicMap.aspx?startTopic=Designations&activelayer=lnrIndex&query=REF_CODE%3D%271100049%27|title=Map of Ring’s End|series=Local Nature Reserves|publisher=Natural England| accessdate= 20 November 2016}} 3. ^{{cite web|url=http://www4.cambridgeshire.gov.uk/directory_record/3214/rings_end|archive-url=http://webarchive.nationalarchives.gov.uk/20140723172507/http://www.cambridgeshire.gov.uk/directory_record/3214/rings_end|dead-url=yes|archive-date=23 July 2014|title=Local nature reserves : Ring's End|publisher=Cambridgeshire County Council|accessdate=20 November 2016}} 1 : Local Nature Reserves in Cambridgeshire |
