BiographyRoberto Leal was born in Alcalá de Guadaíra, Sevilla on 28 June 1979.[1] Leal graduated in Journalism at the University of Seville.[2] He was a journalist of the newspaper La Voz de Alcalá, and the conductor of the radio program "La Resaca", in Sevilla FM.[3] CareerIn 2001 at 21 he began his television career working for Telecinco's news department.[4] After working in Canal Sur and as a news reporter with María Teresa Campos in Antena 3, from 2005 to 2010 Leal was a reporter in the infotainment show España directo, on La 1.[5] In 2010 he co-hosted the short-lived infotainment show 3D alongside Gloria Serra on Antena 3.[6] In the following four years Leal continued in Antena 3 co-hosting the morning television show Espejo público alongside Susanna Griso.[7] On 15 September 2014, he returned to España directo, as the anchor.[8] Since 2017, Leal hosts the talent show Operación Triunfo on its ninth and tenth seasons.[9] In 2018, Leal hosted Bailando con las estrellas, the Spanish adaptation of Dancing with the Stars, alongside Rocío Muñoz Morales.[10] On 31 December 2018, Leal will present the annual New Year's Eve celebration broadcast for TVE live from Madrid's Puerta del Sol, alongside Anne Igartiburu.[11] In 2019, Leal will host the music show La mejor canción mejor cantada.[12] A street in Alcalá de Guadaíra will be named after him.[13] AwardsIn July 2018 he received the Premio Andalucía del Turismo alongside the company City Sightseeing, Juan Llull, Fundación Prenauta, Conmemoración del 250 Aniversario de las Nuevas Poblaciones, the group 'El Caballo Rojo', Juan Cuadra y and the journalist Manuel Jiménez.[14] References1. ^{{cite news |url=https://sevilla.abc.es/provincia/alcala-de-guadaira/sevi-presentador-moda-roberto-leal-sevillano-201710311222_noticia.html |title=El presentador de moda de la TV, Roberto Leal, es sevillano |first=M.
