He is the founder, chairman and chief executive officer of InterEnergy Holdings, a Cayman Islands-based energy company active in the Dominican Republic, Panama, Chile and Jamaica. A college friend of former President Bill Clinton, he is a director of the Clinton Foundation and a major donor to Hillary Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign. Early lifeGonzalez-Bunster was born circa 1947 in Argentina.[1][2] He graduated from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. in 1968.[3][3] While he was in college, he was friends with Bill Clinton.[2] CareerGonzalez-Bunster built a barge-mounted power plant with the Seaboard Corporation in the 1980s.[3] Gonzalez-Bunster served as the vice president of Gulf and Western Industries.[3] He founded Basic Energy Ltd.
