He signed with SUPERKOMBAT in 2015 after a successful run with the Tatneft Cup promotion. He is the 2015 Superkombat World Grand Prix runner-up. As of 3 December 2018, Kryklia is ranked the #6 heavyweight in the world by LiverKick.com.[2] Sport biographyRoman Kryklia was born in the city of Krasnograd, Kharkov region, Ukraine. Since six years old he began his training at the sports club "Burovik." The coach was Valentin Nikolaevich Kozhushko. He participated in sporting competitions of the club, district and regional levels. With the club "Burovik," since Roman was ten years old, he began to leave to the Ukrainian Kenpokai Karate and Kickboxing championship among children and youth. Repeatedly he won medal places and became the champion of Ukraine among children. In 2008 in the city of Lutsk he became the champion of Ukraine in kickboxing among young men and received the title of Master of Sports in Kickboxing. Since 2008 he has continued to train in the city of Kharkiv, the club "Maximus," coach Maxim Nikolaevich Kiyko. Also Roman improved punching techniques from the famous Kharkov boxing trainer Victor Nikolaevich Demchenko. During his studies at the Kharkiv National Automobile and Highway University, he defended the honor of the University at the Kickboxing Championship of Ukraine among students for four years (2012–2015 years), and he ranked first. He was the silver Thai Boxing champion of Ukraine among amateurs in the city of Odessa (2010). Since 2011 Roman began performing on a professional ring in the fightings according to K-1 (professional version of kickboxing) and Thai boxing (Muay Thai) in the heavyweight category. Since 2013 he has continued to train in Minsk club "Chinook" under the guidance of renowned coach Andrei Sergeyevich Gridin. In 2015 he took part in the tournament - fightings by the rules of the TNA (one of the professional version of kickboxing) having the status of the World Cup. The competition is held in the city of Kazan (Russia) and runs throughout the year. This contest was attended by athletes from 36 countries. All the fights in this World Cup Romen finished by knockout; he defeated athletes from the Netherlands, Croatia, Italy. The final battle took place on September 4. Roman’s rival was a fighter from Cameroon Daniel Lentie. In January 2016, in the city of Shanghai, China, Roman defeated top 10 ranked kickboxer and winner of 2015 Kunlun Fight Super Heavyweight Tournament, Jahfarr Wilnis, avanging his previous loss to him from Kunlun Fight 21 [3] In October 2016 Roman won K-1 World GP 2016 -95kg Championship Tournament in Belgrade, Serbia.
