Club careerNeshamba began playing soccer in primary school and joined Inline Academy in 2006.[4] In 2013, she spent six months on loan with Double Action Ladies FC in Botswana, where she scored 14 goals in less than half a season.[5] International careerAt the 2008 edition of the Council of Southern Africa Football Associations (COSAFA) Cup, Neshamba made her debut for the Zimbabwe national team. She scored three goals in the 2015 CAF Women's Olympic Qualifying Tournament, including two in the decisive win over Cameroon which clinched Zimbabwe's shock qualification for the final tournament in Brazil.[6] In March 2016, it was reported that a "chronic" knee injury was jeopardising Neshamba's place at the Olympic games, and that the Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) were failing to pay for her medical care.[7] A London-based expatriate benefactor provided Z$90 for the knee scans she needed.[8] References1. ^{{cite news|title=Zimbabwe's journalist-footballer ready for Rio|url=https://www.fifa.com/womensolympic/news/y=2016/m=5/news=zimbabwe-s-journalist-footballer-ready-for-rio-2790265.html|accessdate=30 July 2016|publisher=FIFA|date=10 May 2016|quote=...it was the Bulawayo-born striker who scored the all-important away goal in the 2-1 defeat.}} 2. ^[https://www.rio2016.com/en/athlete/rudo-neshamba Rudo Neshamba] {{webarchive|url=https://web.archive.org/web/20160806050203/https://www.rio2016.com/en/athlete/rudo-neshamba |date=2016-08-06 }}. rio2016.com 3. ^{{cite web|title=Rudo Neshamba|url=http://results.nbcolympics.com/athletes/athlete=neshamba-rudo-1043663/index.html?intcmp=team-profile|publisher=NBC Sports|accessdate=30 July 2016}} 4. ^{{cite news|last1=Sakhelene|first1=Nxumalo|title=Neshamba goes back to school|url=https://www.newsday.co.zw/2015/01/22/neshamba-goes-back-school/|accessdate=30 July 2016|publisher=NewsDay.co.zw|date=22 January 2015}} 5. ^{{cite news|last1=Moyo|first1=Ngqabutho|title=Inline Academy restores Bulawayo soccer pride|url=http://www.chronicle.co.zw/inline-academy-restores-bulawayo-soccer-pride/|accessdate=30 July 2016|publisher=The Chronicle (Zimbabwe)|date=9 July 2014}} 6. ^{{cite news|last1=Nyakwenda|first1=Langton|title=Gorgeous but very dangerous|url=http://www.sundaymail.co.zw/gorgeous-but-very-dangerous/|accessdate=30 July 2016|publisher=The Sunday Mail (Zimbabwe)|date=25 October 2015}} 7. ^{{cite news|last1=Nyakwenda|first1=Langton|title=Mighty Warriors queen Neshamba stranded|url=http://www.sundaymail.co.zw/mighty-warriors-queen-neshamba-stranded/|accessdate=30 July 2016|publisher=The Sunday Mail (Zimbabwe)|date=10 April 2016}} 8. ^{{cite news|last1=Mwenje|first1=Tongai|title=Mighty Warriors Star Finally Gets Help|url=http://sportbrief.co.zw/2016/04/11/mighty-warriors-star-finally-gets-help/|accessdate=30 July 2016|publisher=SportBrief.co.zw|date=11 April 2016}} External links{{Commons category|Rudo Neshamba}}
