Admiral Grigorovich is an Admiral Grigorovich-class frigate of the Russian Navy, and the lead ship of her class. She is part of the Black Sea Fleet, and is based at Sevastopol.

Service

In November 2016, in the course of the Russian military campaign in Syria, Admiral Grigorovich participated in a large-scale operation to strike targets in Syria by launching Kalibr cruise missiles.^[1]

The ship was deployed to the eastern Mediterranean off the Syria coast at the time of the United States cruise missile strike on Syria′s Shayrat Airbase that occurred on 7 April 2017.^[2]

On 25 August 2018, the Black Sea Fleet said Admiral Grigorovich, along with similar frigate Admiral Essen, were making a ″planned passage from Sevastopol to the Mediterranean Sea″ to join the Russian Navy’s Mediterranean task force.^[3]
