Brown (born 29 August 1991) is an award-winning English actor and screenwriter, born in Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire, United Kingdom. Education and careerBrown studied at Goldsmiths, University of London and received a DADA scholarship to train as an actor at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts.[1] In 2016 he won the BAFTA New Writing Prize for TV Drama for his LGBT crime drama We Are Your Children.[2] He was also a finalist in Lionsgate and Idris Elba's Write to Greenlight Competition [3]. We Are Your Children was selected for the Brit List TV 2018, an annual selection of the best unproduced screenplays as voted for by the industry [4]. It was announced on Deadline Hollywood that the We Are You Children is being developed by Lene Bausager and her UK film company Ugly Duckling Films [5]. In 2017 Brown wrote and starred in the BBC Three series 'Coconut'[6].
