Sacramento–San Joaquin Delta National Heritage Area contains the Sacramento–San Joaquin River Delta, an expansive river delta and estuary with borders in Contra Costa, Sacramento, San Joaquin, Solano, and Yolo counties in northern California. It was designated a National Heritage Area on March 12, 2019, the first such designation for California, as part of the John D. Dingell, Jr. Conservation, Management, and Recreation Act.^[1]^[2]

The Sacramento–San Joaquin Delta National Heritage Area is managed by the Delta Protection Commission.
