The Sahibganj multi-model port or Sahibganj River Port [1] is a multi-model port planned for development at Sahebganj on the Ganges.[2] The project is estimated to cost ₹6,500 crore. Its first phase is estimated to be completed by 2019.[3] The Inland Waterways Authority of India has awarded the contract for the creation of multipurpose transportation terminals to Larson and Toubro (L & T) (22.2 mMTP handling capacity in the first phase).
