Sarah Julie Cowley (born 19 November 1977)[1] is a British diplomat who served as British Ambassador to Latvia between 2013 and 2017. BiographySarah Cowley was educated at Wisbech Grammar School, University College London (BA degree) and the Open University (MBA degree).[1] She worked briefly for KPMG and DLA Piper before joining the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) in 2005[1] as a Nuclear Energy Policy Officer, rising by 2009 to Private Secretary level. She was seconded to the Delegation of the European Union to Afghanistan as part of the European External Action Service in 2010–11.
